MAKING A BOOKING
HOW DO I MAKE A BOOKING?

To reserve a vehicle, simply choose your preferred date and time via our website, or contact our Client Advisors directly. Upon receiving your request, we will confirm your booking and provide all relevant details. For same-day bookings, please call us at (03) 9876 2862 for immediate assistance.

PAYMENT OPTIONS
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED?

We accept a range of payment methods, including credit and debit cards and BNPL options. Full payment is required at the time of booking. Our team is happy to advise on the most convenient payment method to suit your needs.

VEHICLE COLLECTION
HOW DO I COLLECT MY RENTAL VEHICLE?

Vehicles can be collected from our Nunawading showroom at the scheduled time. Our Client Advisors will ensure your rental is ready and provide a brief overview of the vehicle features. Please present a valid driver’s licence and booking confirmation upon collection.

MODIFY OR CANCEL RESERVATIONS
CAN I MODIFY OR CANCEL MY BOOKING?

If your plans change, bookings may be modified or cancelled by contacting our Client Advisors. We recommend notifying us as early as possible to help accommodate changes and ensure a smooth experience.

VEHICLE TYPES
WHAT TYPES OF VEHILCES ARE AVAILABLE AT CARMN RENTAL?

We offer a diverse range of vehicles to suit every need, from practical city cars for daily use to premium vehicles for special occasions. Each car in our fleet is carefully maintained to ensure safety, comfort, and a seamless driving experience.

FLEET MAINTENANCE
HOW OFTEN IS THE FLEET UPDATED OR MAINTAINED?

Our vehicles are serviced every 5,000 km or every 6 months, whichever comes first, and undergo safety inspections before each rental. Key systems such as brakes, tyres, fluids, and electronics are checked regularly. We also rotate and refresh our fleet every 2-3 months to ensure clients always have access to modern, reliable, and clean vehicles

REQUESTING SPECIFIC VEHICLES
CAN I REQUEST A SPECIFIC VEHICLE?

You may indicate a preferred vehicle when making a booking. While we cannot always guarantee a specific model, our Client Advisors will do their best to accommodate your request.

INSURANCE AND COVERAGE
ARE ALL VEHICLES INSURED?

All vehicles are fully insured, providing peace of mind throughout your rental. Full insurance details will be provided at the time of booking.

PRICE DETERMINATION
HOW ARE RENTAL PRICES DETERMINED?

Rental prices vary depending on vehicle type, rental duration, and any additional services. All fees are clearly displayed during booking.

ADDITIONAL FEES
ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL FEES?

Optional services, such as delivery, fuel top-ups, or premium insurance, may incur extra charges. Please contact us prior to your booking for a personalised quote.

Payment & Cancellations

PAYMENT REQUIREMENT
WHEN IS PAYMENT REQURIED?

Full payment is typically required at the time of booking to secure your vehicle. For long-term rentals, recurring billing may apply according to your plan.


IS MY PAYMENT INFORMATION SECURE? 

Yes. All transactions are processed through secure, encrypted payment gateways that comply with Australian data protection standards.

SECURITY DEPPOSIT
ARE THERE ANY SECURITY DEPOSITS?

Yes, a refundable security deposit may be required depending on the vehicle type and duration of the rental. The deposit is released once the vehicle is returned in its original condition.

RECEIPTS
DO YOU PROVIDE INVOICES OR RECEIPTS?

Yes, a detailed invoice or receipt is automatically sent to your email once your payment has been processed.

CANCELLATION & REFUNDS
HOW DO I CANEL MY BOOKING?

You can cancel your booking by contacting our customer service team directly across all our contact channels. 

CAN I CANCEL MY BOOKING FOR FREE?

Yes, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your scheduled pick-up time for a full refund. If you booked within 24 hours of pick-up, you have one hour after booking to cancel for free.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CANCEL LATE?

For cancellations after the free period, partial refunds apply:

  • For bookings over 2 days: refund minus one day’s cost

  • For bookings 2 days or shorter: refund minus half a day’s cost

WHAT IF CARMEN RENTAL CANCELS MY BOOKING?

If we must cancel your booking—for example, due to vehicle unavailability—you’ll receive a full refund or a free reschedule option.

WHAT ARE YOUR OPERATING HOURS?

Our Nunawading showroom and Client Service are available Monday to Sunday, from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM (AEST). Online chat assistance is also available, with hours varying based on advisor availability.

BOOKING ASSISTANCE
CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO AN EXISTING BOOKING?

Yes, please contact us as soon as possible to request modifications. We’ll do our best to accommodate your changes based on availability.

SUPPORT DURING YOUR RENTAL
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I HAVE AN ISSUE DURING MY RENTAL?

If you experience any issues—such as warning lights, mechanical concerns, or accidents—please contact us immediately. We’ll provide guidance and, if necessary, arrange a replacement vehicle or roadside assistance. 

IS THERE ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE?

Yes. All Carmen Rental vehicles come with standard roadside assistance within Australia. Details will be provided at the time of collection.
